Many cast iron skillets are now sold pre seasoned but you should still know how to cure your skillet to keep it looking and cooking like new.

You can follow the same simple steps for seasoning charcoal grills gas grills and pellet grills.
The oil is highly refined and all proteins that cause soy related allergies are eliminated.
Traditional cast iron skillets don t emerge from the box with a nonstick surface.
For that you can soak your oven in hot soapy water for about 5 to 10 minutes and then scrub with a scouring pad.
That comes with seasoning or coating the skillet with cooking oil and baking it in a 350 f oven for an hour.
Then you need to get your cast iron oven completely dry.

Place your cast iron cookware into your oven.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes.
Place it upside down on a middle oven rack at 375.
Rinse the cast iron dutch oven and dry it off in the oven.
Place foil on a lower rack to catch drips bake 1 hour.
Preheat your oven to 350 f and put your cookware in upside right on a foil or parchment paper covered cooking sheet to catch any drips.
Let cool in the oven.
There are no synthetic chemicals added.
But keep in mind porcelain grates do not need to be seasoned.
If you use a non covered baking sheet it will require a good scrub afterward.
You can use a regular scouring pad to scrub away the dirt.
In the final step before packaging we spray a thin layer of soy based vegetable oil onto our traditional cast iron and carbon steel cookware then bake it in a large oven.
Rinse and thoroughly dry the skillet with a clean dry cloth or paper towels.
