The most recent vinyl re issue of the dark side of the moon is the 2016 remastered edition on heavyweight 180gr vinyl. At first i was delighted to see that this is the gate fold version like the original i purchased all those years ago. The dark side of the moon is a classic and whatever i have to say about it in this review has probably been said millions of times by a number of other writers and fans alike. First dark side of the moon itself we all know how brilliant the album is so there s no need for me to review it.

It seems to deal primarily with the fleetingness and depravity of human. The sound quality as expected is superb. The dark side of the moon is pink floyd s ninth album and is a single extended piece rather than a collection of songs. Pink floyd the dark side of the moon.

Dark side of the moon is an absolute classic. Brings back a lot of cool memories. Perhaps the most complete concept album of all time the dark side of the moon was the ultimate redemption for pink floyd culminating years of progressive and experimental music this album focused on the most atomic elements of human life and not just the bright spots and set it all to the beat of a human heart over a 44 minute journey that leaves the listener. This is the way the record was supposed to be heard.

Dunno how much better it is than the 30th anniversary edition but listening to it on my ipod classic be rest assured that the album sounds fantastic as it should. Makes it easier to synch it with wizard of oz too. And this album demands quiet vinyl. Then it was downhill from there.

I went with this 25 pressing of the grundman mastering couldn t be happier. The sound quality as expected is superb. Never did find one that had quiet vinyl. My copy of the 30th is so noisy it s unplayable.

The full record was remastered from the original analogue tapes by james guthrie joel plante and bernie grundman. It is one of the biggest selling records of all time and on vinyl it sounds even better. First dark side of the moon itself we all know how brilliant the album is so there s no need for me to review it. Buy dark side of the moon.

The lp is housed in a gatefold sleeve printed on a black matte cardboard which also includes two stickers and two original posters with art by hipgnosis.
